Horoscope Reading Feb 27 - March 5

Welcome again! Welcome to reading number two: electric boogaloo. What a week it's been; full of ups and downs for, I'm sure, everyone, in every manner of speaking. I won't dwell on the stuff that everyone's been dwelling on, as I'm sure that you all, dear readers, are utterly exhausted, like I am. I don't offer solutions, but I do offer momentary respite.

The altar cloth is laid out, incense - same as last week, Cedarwood, for its excellent suitability in tarot readings, as well as clearing the mind in general - is lit, and my cards are cleared. A minute or two to shuffle them, then I knock them, blow through them, hold them in the incense smoke for a moment, then cut the deck, reshuffle, and focus my mind on this coming week's horoscope.

The layout of the cards in the spread is such:

The signs are organized and grouped by element, and the cards placed on the corresponding quadrant of my altar cloth. This week, the cards themselves fell thus:

So now let's get to the interpretations.

Pisces ♓ (February 19 - March 20): The Sun (reversed)

Oftentimes the thing we're missing turns out to be right in front of us; this week, Pisces, it'll be tough for you to battle your own mind and mood to see the light. If a negative mindset hasn't already befallen you, it may do so soon, and I'd suggest doing what you can to look past the clouds. If you're not doing great, and need some help being optimistic about your situation, try focusing as much as you can on the good things you know you have in life. Do you have a beloved pet? A good friend that always has your back? A favourite movie or TV show? Focus on these things, lean on them. They'll see you through.

Cancer ♋ (June 21 - July 22): The Hierophant (reversed)

While sometimes it may be better to do things the way they're always done, this week is certainly not one of those times. If you feel yourself stagnating this week, Cancer, try something different. Break out of the mold, rebel against the status quo, because tradition is all well and good but when it crosses the line into conformity, then it must be broken away from. You are on your own path; you don't need to follow popular consensus or strict rules. They are there for a reason, yes, but this week they only serve to confine you. Break free, Cancer, and spread your wings.

Scorpio ♏ (October 23 - November 21): Ten of Pentacles (reversed)

Money doesn't buy happiness, Scorpio; in fact, this week, it seems it'll do quite the opposite. Especially in our society, money can be a stressful topic, especially when one's financial situation is going poorly, which, I'm sorry to say, it will this week for you. This card asks you to examine your relationship with and recent decisions regarding your finances; have you taken a gamble of some sort? Invested in something you maybe didn't think all the way through? This week may see your money situation take a bit of a tumble, so get ready for that. You may need to tighten your belt a bit in the days to come.

Aries ♈ (March 21 - April 19): King of Cups (reversed)

It's been an emotional and tumultuous time for you,  Aries, and this week you may find yourself at a boiling point with all of your emotions. It's, honestly, understandable, given the everything that is happening right now, but letting your emotions get the best of you - often in an explosive or otherwise detrimental manner - doesn't help anyone, least of all you. You've got to learn how to get a grip on your emotions, Aries, rather than letting them grip you. This might be a good time to retreat for a bit, take a day off, and practice some self-care; after all, all of this emotion isn't coming from nowhere. Take this opportunity to look inward and find out where and what the source of all this upset is.

Leo ♌ (July 23 - August 22): Three of Pentacles (reversed)

Group projects, I think we can all agree, are the worst. I am so sorry to say, Leo, but it looks like you might have a bad one coming at you this week. All or some of the classic group project tropes may apply; everyone but a few members slacks off, so there's that much more pressure on those few dedicated members; a power struggle between two members who both want to declare themself the leader; shoddy work, minimal effort, and a total lack of cooperation. You might be tempted to just go it alone, leaving behind the drama of the group, and this would be a valid desire, but I would advise you to think carefully before making any rash decisions. Can you think of any way to turn this situation in your favour?

Sagittarius ♐ (November 22 - December 21): Five of Pentacles (reversed)

You made it, Sagittarius! I knew you would. This card, in its reversed position, talks about recovery and rebuilding, specifically in the domain of finances; rock bottom is behind you and you're getting started on the climb back up. Don't get me wrong; there's still a way to go, and work to be done, but you'll start seeing new opportunities this week and finding footholds that you can use to clamber back up into the sunshine. Your winter is almost over, Sagittarius. Spring is just around the corner.

Aquarius ♒ (January 20 - February 18): Nine of Wands

Aquarius, you're so, so close. You've made it this far, and it's been a really tough journey, and this week you've just gotta buckle down and get through this final stretch. The finish line is right there in front of you- victory is almost within arm's reach- there's just a couple more hurdles to get over, just a few more obstacles, and you'll be there. This week is the time to rally the last of your strength, let loose that battle cry, and take on those boss fights. You can do it,  Aquarius. We're all rooting for you.

Gemini ♊ (May 21 - June 20):  Ace of Cups (reversed)

It sucks when a passion project loses its zing, its appeal, and becomes yet another unfinished work-in-progress that you just can't force yourself to work on. There's something missing in your life, Gemini, something that is making you feel that hollowness inside you, and no matter how you try to fill it with other things or to distract yourself from it, it won't go away until you address it, head on. You need to take a good, hard look at yourself, Gemini, and your metaphorical cup; how did it come to be overturned? How long has the water been spilling out? And by whose hand was it toppled? Until you're ready to face these questions, this block of yours won't be going anywhere.

Libra ♎ (September 23 - October 22):  Five of Cups

Looks like the fallout from that choice you had to make last week is taking its toll on you, Libra. You might be finding yourself kicking yourself for choosing this path, but take a step back and think rationally; there's no guarantee that the other way would have been any better. You were is a tough spot, and you made the choice you needed to, now all that you can do is pick up the pieces and keep going. This week, I won't mince words, might be hard. You may be miserable, bitter, depressed and just all around bad, and there's absolutely no reason not to take some time to let yourself wallow a little. Time does heal, Libra, and whether you see it now or not, there are some positives in your life right now that will shine through the brightest exactly when you need them.

Capricorn ♑ (December 22 - January 19): Nine of Swords (reversed)

When people say of anxiety, "It's just in your head!" It's usually recieved - justifiably so! - as condescending and minimizing of the recipient's struggles. Yes, anxiety springs from the mind, but it can be tough to pinpoint exactly what the source of it is, and even harder to address and fix the underlying issue. This being said, an important step to doing so does lie in your own conscious thought patterns, Capricorn; last week you understood that you were trapping yourself in your own victim mentality, and that is a fantastic place to start. This week, the work to get yourself out of that mentality and into a healthier one begins.

Taurus ♉ (April 20 - May 20): King of Swords (reversed)

This week especially, Taurus, beware your own stubbornness. Being detail-oriented is great, until it gets out of hands and spirals into full-blown micromanagement. Keep a careful eye on your motives and aims this week; if you catch yourself using your strengths and skills to hurt or spite others, or meaning to do so, force yourself to be more open-minded. Is some new intern piping up with new ideas for your workplace? Instead of lashing out at them to mind their place, maybe hear them out, those ideas may wind up being good ones. Did someone question or criticize a decision you made? Don't start plotting how to get them back; think about what they said objectively, and make a sound assessment of their words. Was someone mean, rude, or passive-aggressive to you? Don't turn this into a petty drama. Just move on. The people around you are human beings too, Taurus, with their own struggles and shortcomings, and being stressed is not excuse for being abusive.

Virgo ♍ (August 23 - September 22): Six of Swords (reversed)

The past can be hard to let go of, and sometimes it's harder to move forward than it is to look back. That's some emotional baggage you got there, Virgo, and dealing with that is never easy. But change, transition, is a necessary, if painful part of growth, and, as hard as it may be, this week you're gonna need to work on letting go of the things that hold you back. Whether that means simply cutting ties or trying to find real closure is up to you, but I would advise against the latter if you've already tried and it hasn't worked. The real definition of insanity, after all, is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results; when push comes to shove, sometimes you've just got to walk away.

Hopefully this helps at least a bit.
